Subject and goal of the research plan
- Induction of specific systemic immune response as prevention of systemic infections (borreliosis, HIV-1 infection) and superficial skin infections (trichophytosis).
- Induction of specific mucosal immune response as prevention of mucosal localized infection (vaginal candidosis) and mucosa-transferred infection (HIV-1 infection).
- Testing fusion DNA vaccines for modulation of antigen-specific immune response for targeted induction of humoral or cellular response as prevention of infectious diseases, inflammatory and allergic conditions.
- New possibilities of diagnostics of pathogenic bacteria, virulence factors and resistance to antimicrobial agents. Elaborating and verifying possibilities of new methods for rapid detection of pathogenic organisms using physico-chemical methods based on interaction of organized layers of metal nanoparticles with these pathogens, i.e. their specific parts.
- Prevention of development and spread of bacterial resistance in human and animal environments.
- Developing new types of substances with antibacterial and antifungal effects containing silver nanoparticles.
